Isabel is the 2025 Academic Director, and entering her third year of a Bachelor of Politics, Philosophy, and Economics (Honours). Having just completed three years at The Women’s College within UQ, as an RA in 2023 and Senior RA in 2024, Isabel is excited to continue her service to the residential living space through her work with NAAUC. As QLD State Representative in 2024, Isabel connected with residents and HRC across the East Coast, gaining a strong sense of the specific challenges facing each residential community. Isabel looks forward to applying this knowledge to a national context, and empowering students across Australia to continue challenging themselves to create positive and welcoming spaces for all. With a personal interest in gender studies, burnout at college, and celebrating diversity in the college space, Isabel looks forward to working with the NAAUC team to deliver a dynamic program to students across the country, ensuring the association’s relevance in an ever-changing and evolving sector.

The Academic Director is the member of the NAAUC team responsible for NAAUC’s academic program, an educational resources and seminar catalogue which covers issues relevant to student leadership, issues facing young leaders today, and college life. The Academic Director is tasked with developing the catalogue of topics, and managing the members of the NAAUC Team in the creation of academic materials. The Academic Director is responsible for ensuring the academic content is consistently high quality, and updated annually to suit the organisation’s goals.
