The 54th

NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF AUSTRALIAN UNIVERSITY COLLEGES

NATIONAL

CONFERENCE

25TH NOVEMBER - 30TH OF NOVEMBER 2024

DUNMORE LANG COLLEGE

MACQUARIE UNIVERSITY, SYDNEY NSW

“The opportunity to have so many people who are passionate about student leadership together in one place is unique and unlike anything outside the NAAUC National Conference. The National Conference was a constant series of light bulbs going off with new ideas and fresh perspectives of ideas I hadn’t previously considered and issues that I realised could be better addressed.”

Kat (Delegate, 2023)

“NAAUC provided a remarkable opportunity to delve into diverse college experiences nationwide, fostering an environment for mutual learning and leadership enhancement. The conference buzzed with a whirlwind of exciting ideas, stimulating discussions, and the formation of valuable friendship.”

While delegates are learning to elevate their leadership skills with academic workshops, the conference provides unique social activities each day to allow delegates the opportunity to mingle, relax or even get new ideas for events at their college. Each event is curated to the conference and daily themes, incorporating the best of what the host city has on offer.

The social activities are designed to be inclusive to all attendees, with a range of sober and optional drinking events. The conference week concludes with (arguably) the best night of National Conference, the National Colleges Ball, where delegates can celebrate and enjoy the week and a nationwide circle of friends

ABOUT THE NATIONAL CONFERENCE

THE ACADEMIC PROGRAM

In 2024 the NAAUC team has developed and is ready to deliver a dynamic academic program at the National Conference. With a range of academic seminars, workshops, panel discussions and keynote speakers, we are striving to empower delegates, spur passion for leadership, and engage the diverse perspectives of students from residential communities across Australia. The academic program responds to the evolving needs and contemporary challenges that come along with living at university residences.

Our focus for the 2024 National Conference is synergy. We look forward to fostering a peer centred learning experience, enabling delegates to collaborate with like-minded peers and generate out of the box ideas to take back to their respective residences. With the main focus of ‘synergy’ we hope to see delegates confidence, professionalism and passion grow throughout the conference.
