Vice President (Engagement)
Thomas Farson
Tom is an outgoing and driven young collegian who is always looking to improve the environment around him. Tom is the 2024 Vice President (Engagement) for NAAUC. In this role, he is tasked with streamlining NAAUC’s engagement and building connections with students across the country. Tom has spent three years living in the largest residential college in the southern hemisphere where he held various leadership positions. Tom recently completed his studies in geology at The University of Western Australia and is currently working as a Geologist. Tom is a strong believer in the value that residential colleges add to communities. He hopes that through his work in NAAUC’s Engagement program he can spur passion within students, build their leadership skills, and empower them to elevate their communities.

The Vice President (Engagement) is the member of the NAAUC team responsible for NAAUC’s outreach and engagement programs. The Vice President (Engagement) is tasked with ensuring high quality programs and offerings geared towards students living on campus. The Vice President (Engagement) develops and implements strategies connected to NAAUC’s role in supporting and advocating for students in University Colleges. While this includes many responsibilities, the Vice President (Engagement) is primarily charged with leading the NAAUC State Representative Team, NAAUC’s consulting program, and management of NAAUC’s social media presence.
