Jolie May is excited to join NAAUC in 2025, bringing her dedication to student connection, advocacy and community to the team. She lived at Jane Franklin Hall in Hobart from 2023 to 2024 while pursuing a Bachelor of Marine and Antarctic Science at the University of Tasmania. During her time at Jane, Jolie served as Vice President of the Student Club in 2024, where she worked to create a kind, positive and inclusive college culture. In 2024, she also spent 8 months as a New Colombo Plan scholar working with students on youth advocacy and environmental stewardship in the South Pacific. Jolie’s passion for creative communication and student engagement means she is eager to support the continued growth and innovation of residential communities in Tasmania and across Australia through her work with NAAUC in 2025.

NAAUC’s State Representatives are responsible for student engagement within their state or territory, and are expected to coordinate engagement activities throughout the year. Under the leadership of the Vice President (Engagement), the State Representatives will build and maintain relationships with colleges and university residences, and deliver NAAUC’s offerings. State Representatives are responsible for advertising and promoting NAAUC’s offerings to student leaders, and ensuring effective communication channels with various college and residence students are maintained. State Representatives will deliver a series of events each year, aimed at supporting student leaders in their state or territory.
