National Conference Ticket Purchase Terms and Conditions

The following terms and conditions outline the requirements on individuals and colleges in purchasing and attending the National Conference.

  1. Unnamed tickets can be purchased for the annual National Conference. Names of delegates attending the National Conference must be provided to NAAUC at least seven days prior to the start of the National Conference. 

  2. Only current residents or staff of a recognised college or university residence may purchase tickets or be nominated to attend the National Conference representing a residence. 

  3. Each delegate must complete the delegate registration requirements prior to arriving at the National Conference. The registration requirements will vary annually, and be communicated by the National Conference management team. 

    1. Failure to accurately complete registration requirements in a timely manner may result in additional costs for the individual. It is the responsibility of the individual and the residence to ensure registration is completed as required. 

  4. Incidental costs occurring due to the inappropriate conduct of delegates shall be levied against the purchasing residence or individual. These costs include, but are not limited to; lost key replacement, additional cleaning fees, and facility damages. 

  5. All delegates must agree to abide by the conduct outlined in the NAAUC National Conference policies. Delegates who fail to agree to the code of conduct will not be permitted to attend the National Conference. In such cases where the delegate refuses to abide by the code of conduct within seven days of the National Conference commencing, a refund shall not be offered. 

  6. Delegate conduct which is in breach of NAAUC National Conference code of conduct and/or NAAUC policies will be barred from attending the National Conference. NAAUC will not provide refunds in such cases, and is not responsible for the barred individual's accommodation or travel. 

  7. Refunds for National Conference tickets shall only be issued up to eight days prior to the National Conference commencing. Where possible, NAAUC will provide full refunds. If NAAUC has already incurred costs related to delegate attendance, partial refunds will be offered. 

  8. All monies related to National Conference attendance must be paid prior to the commencement of the National Conference. In cases where a residence or individual has failed to pay for National Conference attendance, delegates may be barred from attending aspects of the National Conference until all monies are paid. 

  9. All personal data collected in the management of the National Conference shall be handled in accordance with NAAUC’s data handling and privacy policies. Any concerns related to the handling of personal data are to be raised with NAAUC representatives.

  10. In the event of the cancellation of the National Conference, NAAUC will provide refunds to individuals or residents where NAAUC has not yet incurred costs related to the National Conference.

By purchasing a ticket to the National Conference, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions, you understand and agree to the rights, privileges, and obligations of your college, its staff, its residents, and the Association in relation to the National Conference.
